Members will see a credit on their utility bills for two months beginning February 1 due to lower wholesale power and operating costs in 2020. The cost adjustment returned to each member will be one cent per kilowatt-hour. Using an average monthly use of 1,600 kWh as an example, the amount returned would be approximately $16 in both February and March. Actual credited amounts will vary based on individual household energy usage.
The cooperative’s Board of Trustees voted on January 26 to credit member owners through the wholesale power cost adjustment calculated on each utility bill in for February and March of 2021.
