Members of Broad River Electric will have multiple ways to experience the 2023 Annual Meeting later this month. The cooperative will offer drive-thru registration and voting over a three-day period, April 25–27.
For the first time in four years, the annual business meeting will also be held in person at 6 p.m. on April 27. Broad River Electric will continue to broadcast that meeting live here on our website and on our Facebook page.
Drive-thru
Members will be able to register for the annual meeting and vote—there is an amendment to the bylaws and two contested board seats on the ballot—while remaining in their vehicles. Drive-thru registration and voting will take place on April 25 and 26 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on April 27 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the cooperative’s headquarters, 1036 Webber Road in Cowpens. Signs will be posted to guide members to the appropriate locations.
Members are required to present a valid photo identification at the time of registration and are encouraged to bring the ticket from last month’s edition of South Carolina Living to expedite the registration process.
In person
The official annual business meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on April 27 at the cooperative headquarters under the truck shed. This year, members are able to attend in person and can register and vote beginning at 4 p.m. until the start of the meeting.
All registering members, both in person and drive-thru, will receive a pair of cast iron Lodge skillets. They will also be eligible to win a Chevrolet Colorado 4x4 truck or one of two Gravely zero-turn mowers. Eligible members do not have to be present to win.

For members wanting to view the business meeting online, track election results, or to find out in real-time if they won a prize, Broad River Electric will broadcast the meeting and subsequent drawings on our website and Facebook page.
