Broad River Electric Cooperative congratulates three local athletes who played on the winning team in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl on Dec. 10 in Myrtle Beach.
Kaliber Hoey from Gaffney High School, Cameron Jackson from Spartanburg High School and Abraham Fyffe from Chapman High School were among 88 of South Carolina’s top high school football players selected to play in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl. Their North team won the game 22-14.
A few days before the game, players from each team partnered to accompany 44 deserving kids from Horry County Schools for a Christmas shopping spree at a local Target store. The shopping spree has become a tradition during the bowl week since South Carolina’s cooperatives began sponsoring the game.
